The intensity of poverty in slums and rural areas challenges us to work, based on advocacy and influencing for outreach of the poor to the resources available and create opportunities through strengthening advocacy at all levels. The pragmatic reality is that the poor lack choice over the resources and the right to influence their future on the basis of their powerlessness.
